Interdisciplinary Studies Face an Uncertain Future

"The Canon of College Majors Persists Amid Calls for Change" (The Chronicle, August 31) is extremely timely. Undergraduate interdisciplinary programs are at a crossroads. Despite the growing interest in interdisciplinarity, disciplinary hegemony still reigns.
