If you think you're sick of Christina Aguilera's music, just be glad you're not Detainee 063. As part of a 50-day interrogation of the accused terrorist at the Guantánamo Bay detention camp, Mohammed al-Qahtani was repeatedly awakened at midnight either with water poured over his head or the songs of Ms. Aguilera blared in his ears.
The Society for Ethnomusicology approved a position paper last month against the use of music as a form of torture.
