Institutions Should Not Revoke Degrees for Any Reason Except Academic Fraud
To the Editor:
I don't believe that educational institutions should revoke degrees for any reason other than academic fraud ("M.I.T. Revokes Diploma of Graduate for Alleged Role in Drinking Death of Freshman," August 13). Once an institution passes beyond that criterion, the process becomes an open invitation to corruption, manipulation, and improper influence.
