Inflation Eats Into Recent Growth in State Spending on Student Aid
Loan and loan-forgiveness programs accounted for many of the additional dollars awarded in 2005-6
The growth of state spending on student financial aid slowed in the 2005-6 academic year, especially after taking inflation into account, according to a report being released this week by the National Association of State Student Grant and Aid Programs, or Nassgap.
