Industry Officials Predominate as Bush Names Science Advisers
Universities are modestly represented on President Bush's advisory council on science and technology, which he appointed last week. Most of the 24 members come from information-technology businesses, and only seven are from academe -- a shift from previous councils, on which academic scientists were better represented.
