Indiana U. Will Test System to Prevent Computer Users From Overloading Networks
Officials at Indiana University at Bloomington are trying out technology that could prevent users from hogging the campus network. To test the plan, the university has lifted its ban on Napster, the controversial MP3-sharing application that has been blamed by many institutions for gobbling up large portions of campus Internet connections.
