India to Grant $68-Million to 3 Universities
The Indian government plans to grant three of the country's top universities $68-million this year as part of a continuing effort to turn them into world-class institutions.
The Universities of Mumbai, Calcutta, and Madras will receive an initial grant of $11.3-million to be directed toward research. At the end of the year, the government will grant each of the three universities another $11.3-million.
