Inappropriate Subjects for Humor
To the Editor:
On page B11 of the August 11 issue of The Chronicle, I encountered a cartoon by Joseph Farris with the following text: "I shall indulge myself in one of life's simple pleasures. Behead the queen." I reread this several times because I didn't really believe that a paper of the quality of The Chronicle would publish something that takes domestic violence and spousal murder as humor. I know it is just a cartoon, and you may think I am overreacting, but I work with victims
