Inappropriate Room Sharing

To the Editor:

The issue to be raised in response to Ian Houlihan's "The Ins and Outs of the Closet" (Careers, June 23) is not the receptivity of Catholic colleges and universities to gay faculty and staff members, administrators, or students. Certainly at my institution, La Salle University, Catholic with a capital C does not eliminate our commitment to be catholic with a small c, and I know our experience is not unique among Catholic colleges and universities.
