Inaccurate Descriptions of Colleges
To the Editor:
An article in your pages highlights private loans but also showcases a too-common problem in the media: the failure to accurately describe higher-education institutions ("As the Volume of Private Loans Soars, Students Feel the Pinch," The Chronicle, September 22). The article portrays a student and her $60,000 debt, in the form of private loans obtained while she received undergraduate and master's degrees.
