COMMERCIALIZING RESEARCH: In an attempt to make Oregon businesses more competitive, Gov. Ted Kulongoski has signed legislation letting Oregon Health and Sciences University and institutions in the Oregon University System establish venture-capital funds to develop more commercial applications for university research.
