In the Future, Division I Universities May Field Only 8 Teams Each
David J. Wottle is one angry alumnus.
Mr. Wottle is one of the most prominent graduates of Bowling Green State University. Following a standout college career in track and field, he went on to win the gold medal in the 800-meter run at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, leaving the sight of his finishing dash and white painter's cap imprinted in the memories of American sports fans.
