In a New Deal, Stanford U. Students Will Get Yahoo's Music Service Free for a Year
Yahoo will offer its online music service to Stanford University students free for a year in a deal paid for by an anonymous donor.
The agreement marks the first time Yahoo has signed a music deal with a college or university. Other colleges have made deals with other music services — Pennsylvania State University with Napster, for instance, and American University with Ruck-us. The Stanford service began last week.
