The past year has been a confusing time for students in this prosperous country. A whiplash-inducing series of shifts in government policy, court rulings, and decisions by universities regarding tuition has created an unsettled landscape for education.
Like most of their counterparts elsewhere in Europe, university students here are fiercely opposed to the idea that they should have to foot the bill for their studies. They have responded with protests to proposals that they contribute
