In Response to Critics, 'U.S. News' Changes Its Formula for Ranking Colleges
Editors at U.S. News & World Report have changed the formula they use for determining which colleges they deem the "best" in America. Beginning this year, U.S. News will no longer consider a college's "yield" rate -- the percentage of students admitted who actually attend -- in compiling the magazine's annual rankings.
