In Peru, Academics End Hunger Strike
Students and professors at Peru's public universities voted to suspend a weeklong hunger strike last week, after the government pledged an additional $25-million for public universities.
The labor unrest began early last month, when representatives of the Student Federation of Peru and the National Federation of University Employees began a strike that, one by one, affected 5 of the country's 28 public universities The strike then spread to other universities, with student leaders
