In Pennsylvania, Students Express More Apathy Than Excitement

Sean M. Meloy acknowledges that his fervent interest in politics makes him sort of a "freak." He started watching Crossfire, a CNN political-debate show, when he was 13. He founded a Young Democrats club at his high school, near Pittsburgh. Now, as a senior here at Pennsylvania State University, he is president of the campus chapter of the College Democrats.
