In Mile-High City, Democrats Promise a Rise in Aid for Students and Research

Tens of thousands of politicians, party delegates, and journalists converged here last week for the Democrats' national political convention, a gathering where college-age voters played a prominent role and where participants adopted a policy platform that promises more federal student aid, greater support for research, and an end to the politicization of science.
