In Latest Chapter of Lott v. Levitt, Appeals Court Favors 'Freakonomics' Author

A federal appeals court turned back on Wednesday an effort by John R. Lott Jr. to resuscitate his defamation suit against Steven D. Levitt, a co-author of the best-selling Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explains the Hidden Side of Everything.
