In Fighting a Union, Are NYU Administrators Also Threatening Academic Values?

We write as graduate students who have participated in the Graduate Student Organizing Committee at New York University, and on behalf of the university's Graduate History Student Association and American Studies Student Committee. We believe that it is crucial that we respond to Catharine R. Stimpson's depiction of life and politics at N.Y.U. ("A Dean's Skepticism About a Graduate-Student Union," Opinion, May 5).
