In Crisis, Bring Back Retired Professors

To the Editor:

The current economic crisis is affecting universities and colleges alike. Why not tap a large pool of unused resources — namely, retired professors? Some of them would love to go back to the classroom for a term or two, and would be willing to do so in exchange for on-campus accommodations. The money saved on salaries could go toward scholarships for needy students.
