Improving the Process of Accreditation
To the Editor:
The American Council of Trustees and Alumni's recent report, "Can College Accreditation Live Up to Its Promise?," found that the current system of accreditation does little to ensure educational quality. According to "A Radical Approach to Accreditation" (November 1), "many college officials believe they get little out of the standard process besides a stamp of approval." Quite true. But do either of the "radical" approaches discussed in the article really change
