Immigration Bill's Death Affects Students
The death last month of a bill to overhaul the nation's immigration laws sidetracked an effort to make public colleges more affordable for illegal aliens.
The bill would have made it easier for states to charge some illegal immigrants in-state tuition rates, which are lower than the rates for nonresidents, at their public colleges.
