Immigrant Children Are as Likely as American-Born Students to Succeed in College, Study Finds
High-school students from immigrant families are just as likely to succeed in college as American-born students are.
That was the finding of a report published in the June issue of the Journal of Research on Adolescence by two researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles.
The study measured a variety of factors, including students' academic performance, educational goals, and sense of obligation they felt to their families.
