Illinois Board Votes to Close Troubled 2-Year College
The Illinois Community College Board voted unanimously last month to close Metropolitan Community College, citing a report that found "insurmountable organizational, financial, and academic problems" at the college, which is located in the impoverished city of East St. Louis.
