If You're So Smart, Why ... ?
To the Editor:
When I think of this debate over intelligence versus intelligences ("Not Every Child Is Secretly a Genius," The Chronicle Review, online edition, June 15), some images come to mind. As a Red Sox fan, I think of former Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez, who, though goofy, can hit a fastball (or any pitch) as far as the eye can see. Or of Google mentor Rajeev Motwani, who, though he invented the algorithms of the modern search engines that Google uses to find us
