'If You Were Governor, What Would You Do?'
Growing up on a dairy farm in North Carolina taught me a number of valuable lessons. One of them, most memorably called to my attention by my father before a big date, was: Remember who you are. The advice has served me well over the years, and I would repeat it now to my fellow Governors, as well as to lawmakers and the leaders of our academic institutions.
