If You Can't Win One ...
Winning a Nobel Prize? Great. Stealing one? Not so great.
Ian M. Sanchez, a biology major at the University of California at Berkeley, is accused of stealing Ernest O. Lawrence's medal for the 1939 Nobel Prize in Physics from the Lawrence Hall of Science, a campus museum. Mr. Sanchez pleaded not guilty this month to a felony grand-theft charge in Alameda County Court, according to the county District Attorney's Office. On the advice of his lawyer, Mr. Sanchez had no comment.
