IRS Extends Limits on Student Data That Colleges Must Report
The Internal Revenue Service has extended for another year a policy that limits the information that colleges must report about students who are potential recipients of the Hope Scholarship and Lifelong Learning tax credits.
Without the extension, college officials had feared, they would have had to begin collecting information that they do not otherwise gather about potential beneficiaries of the credits.
