Hunter College Reaches Settlement With Depressed Student Who Was Barred From Dorm
The City University of New York's Hunter College has reached a legal settlement with a student whom the institution had barred from returning to her dormitory after she was hospitalized as the result of an apparent suicide attempt.
The plaintiff, who suffers from depression, had claimed in a lawsuit that the university violated her rights under the Americans With Disabilities Act, among other laws.
