Hunter College President's Split With Senior Officer Got Personal
When Jennifer J. Raab became president of the City University of New York's Hunter College, in 2001, Leonard F. Zinnanti seemed a natural fit for her administration. She was an Ivy League-educated lawyer with a knack for politics, and he was a numbers guru who had worked with her in Mayor Rudy Giuliani's budget office.
In 2002, Ms. Raab hired Mr. Zinnanti as a vice president at Hunter, where he rose to the rank of acting chief operating officer.
