Humboldt State U.'s Faculty Members Vote No Confidence in President

Faculty members at Humboldt State University have overwhelmingly passed a measure expressing no confidence in the university's president, Rollin C. Richmond. The resolution, which cites years of tension over his leadership style, demands that he step down within two months.

Mr. Richmond said he would not leave his post. He also received a key endorsement from his boss, the chancellor of the California State University system, of which Humboldt State is part.
