Humane Society Seeks to End Pain for Research Animals by 2020
The Humane Society of the United States last week called on scientists and federal officials to set the year 2020 as a target date for ending any pain and distress felt by animals used in research. The group also urged colleges to improve their accuracy in disclosing the pain felt by animals in studies.
In a report accusing universities of failing to document animal pain, the Humane Society said the top 50 nonprofit research institutions in the United States
