Human Subjects of Research
To the Editor:
I am writing in response to R. Alta Charo's provocatively titled essay, "Human Subjects Have It Worse Than Guinea Pigs" (Point of View, June 25). The Association of American Medical Colleges shares the viewpoint expressed by both Ms. Charo and the entire National Bioethics Advisory Commission that protecting human research subjects is an ethical imperative of the highest order.
