'Human Rights Review,' a New Journal, Challenges 'Human Rights Quarterly'; Professor of Cinema Studies at NYU to Start 'Television & New Media'

For 20 years, Human Rights Quarterly has been among the leading scholarly journals in its field. Yet in that time, the Johns Hopkins University Press journal has never published an article on Fidel Castro's Cuba, despite often detailing the abuses of right-wing dictatorships, says Thomas Cushman, an associate professor of sociology at Wellesley College.
