Human Embryonic Cells Grown in Laboratory for First Time
Scientists who have succeeded in growing human embryonic cells in the laboratory for the first time say their research could eventually turn laboratories into supply houses for human tissue and make many new forms of medical treatment possible.
But, the scientists add, the cells are also likely to be at the center of a renewed debate over the use of human embryos in research.
