How The U.S. Stacks Up Internationally
The United States is beginning to lose ground to other countries on some measures of how well its higher-education system is serving citizens, according to international comparisons included in the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education's "report card." The report compares the performance of the United States, and of individual states, with those of the 29 nations that are also members of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development. Here are some of the findings.
