House Votes to Require Colleges to Identify Sex Offenders
The House of Representatives unanimously approved a bill last week that would require colleges to make known on their campuses the identities of students and employees who are "registered sex offenders."
The measure, which was approved by a voice vote, also seeks to make some of the most unpopular provisions of the 1998 Higher Education Act more palatable to colleges and students.
