House Votes to Permit Discussions on Aid
The House of Representatives has passed legislation that would permanently extend an exemption to a law that bars private colleges from discussing their institutional financial-aid policies.
Under the legislation, which the House approved unanimously in April, financial-aid administrators at private colleges that are "need blind" (meaning that they do not consider a family's ability to pay in making admissions decisions) would continue to be able to meet to discuss general
