House Votes to Authorize Greater Spending on Computer-Security Research
The U.S. House of Representatives has given final approval to a bill authorizing greater spending for research on protecting computer networks from potential terrorist attacks.
The legislation, known as the Cyber Security Research and Development Act (HR 3394), initially passed the House in February. The Senate approved it unanimously in October after adding language to prohibit some foreign students from participating in the research.
