The House Appropriations subcommittee that oversees the budget for the Department of Homeland Security approved a bill on Thursday that would provide the Office of University Programs with $51.97-million in the 2007 fiscal year, which starts on October 1. The amount is equal to President Bush’s request, but it would represent an 18-percent decrease from the current fiscal year.
