House Panel Backs Measure to Cut College Costs for District of Columbia Residents
Recent high-school graduates living in the District of Columbia moved one step closer last week to receiving federal aid that would allow them to pay lower tuition at colleges across the country.
The House of Representatives' Government Reform subcommittee on District affairs unanimously approved legislation that could lop as much as $10,000 off college costs for District residents. Under the bill, high-school graduates could use that
