House Panel Approves Anti-Cloning Bill Opposed by Many Research Groups
A U.S. House of Representatives committee approved a bill last week that would ban all cloning of human embryos, whether for reproductive ends or for research. Many research organizations opposed the bill as too broad and as a potentially dangerous government intervention into university laboratories.
