House Committee Would Move Grant Program for Minority Colleges to Commerce Department
After the National Science Foundation opposed a bill under which it would have run a $250-million-a-year technology-grant program for minority-serving institutions, a committee in the House of Representatives decided last month to move the proposed program to the Department of Commerce.
Now the Commerce Department opposes the bill.
