House Committee Approves Program for Minority-Serving Colleges
A House of Representatives committee unanimously passed a bill last week to create a $250-million grant program for minority-serving institutions so they can upgrade their campuses with wireless technology and new computers.
The bill, HR 921, would create a program under the Department of Commerce to provide $250-million in grants each year for the next five years to historically black colleges and universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, and tribal colleges. The House Science
