House Approves Agencies' Budgets
The Appropriations Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives has endorsed roughly 5-percent increases in spending on defense and energy research in 2005, and the full chamber has approved nearly 10-percent increases for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
