Honors Curriculum at UMass Features Oprah-Like Book Club

Taking a page from Oprah Winfrey, several colleges have recently started their own book clubs.

At the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, all 1,200 students in the honors college participate in the "Dean's Book Course." No grades are awarded in the one-semester course, but each student must complete a project on a book that is the focus that semester.
