Homeland-Security Fellowships Proposed

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security plans to offer fellowships to graduate students, Under Secretary Charles E. McQueary told members of a House of Representatives committee at a hearing in April.

This was the first appearance before Congress by Mr. McQueary, who was recently confirmed as head of the department's science-and-technology division, and university advocates were watching for signs of how those in academe could play a role in the research-and-development efforts of the
