An unjolly guest paid a visit to the home of David C. Sweet, president of Youngstown State University, over the holidays and left some mean-spirited presents: several bullet holes. According to The Tribune Chronicle, a newspaper in nearby Warren, Ohio, at least six bullets were found in and around Mr. Sweet’s home last week.
The president and his family had been visiting relatives for the holidays and were not at home during the attack. But they returned to find bullets lodged in the house’s crown molding and a couch. Casings for some .22-caliber bullets were found along the curb in front of the house. Local authorities are investigating. —JJ Hermes
