Holy Cross's Mummy Dearest
Tanet-pahekau's mummy survived 2,000 years in the Egyptian desert. One hundred years in the library at the College of the Holy Cross, however, was almost its undoing.
But Tanet-pahekau's soul isn't doomed to purgatory: A team of graduate students at the University of Delaware and Winterthur Museum's art-conservation program has come to her rescue, agreeing to hone their skills by restoring her.
